is finally online!!! We're starting with the pictures from Bansko '2006
due to the great interest in that particular event but you can expect
very soon the photo-galleries from our national championships in Borovets
'2006 and Bansko '2005, the 51st international meeting in Jeseniky '2005

Five members of the BSCIJ will represent our club
during the 53rd Annual SCIJ Meeting in Spain from January 27th till
February 3rd. At a dramatic club council a decision was made to include
in the team the medalists from Bansko '2006 - Vessela Vladkova, Desi
Kulelieva and Lubomir Boyadjiev. The team will be headed by the newly-elected
chairman of the BSCIJ Borislav (Bobby) Kosturkov and the fifth member
of the team will be Plamen Valkov who was also recently elected as Secretary
General of BSCIJ.

On October 1st, 2006 our dearest colleague
and friend Petar Iliev went into a better world. As one of the
founders of the Bulgarian Journalists Ski Club he will rest foroever
in our hearts and minds. We bow before his memory.

Dimitar Tsonev, Nikolai Neshev, Todor Shabanski
and Yulian Stoyanov are the new members of the Bulgarian Journalists
Ski Club when the General Assembly of the Association approved their
requests to join on June 5th, 2006. They are well known among us from
the BNT (Bulgarian National Television), RTV and "Lichna Drama"
newspaper. From now on the club comprises a total of 30 active members.
Here's who they are...
Lyubomir Boyadjiev, Vessela Vladkova and Dessi Kulelieva
have reached to the world medals at the Journalists Annual Ski Gathering
in Bansko, Bulgaria which took place January 21-28, 2006. Lyubo was
seconds short of the title in Nordic skiing classic 5km distance, though
silver was enough for him to be the highest ranking Bulgarian at this
year's meeting. Vessela is our bronze girl in the Giant Slalom and Dessi
Kulelieva took the silver in the Combination ranking 4th in GS and 8th

From January 21-28, 2006 Bansko is hosting the 52nd
Annual SCIJ Meeting. Colleagues from more than 30 countries will come
to Bulgaria to participate at the challenges on the slopes of mount
Todorka in the Giant Slalom race and the Nordic ski run. They will also
exchange professional experience and views as well as to enjoy the most
modern ski center in Bulgaria and in the Balkans - Bansko resort. More

This is an open championship for all professionals
in journalism for whom skiing is the favorite hobby. The race took place
in Bansko on March 1st, 2005 comprising a 2-manche GS. The competitors
have been divided into a total of 6 age groups - 3 mens and 3 womens.
The winners at the most challenging "Junior" groups of men
and women are: Miliana Veleva (Ring TV) and Yuilan Stoyanov ("Lichna
Drama" weekly).

2005...
The Bulgarian Journalists Team has returned from
the Czech Republic with enviable achievements - 5th place in GS "Men
Junior", 6th place in Nordic "Men Junior" and 7th place
in the Combination! These are inspirational news for the next winter
meeting of SCIJ which after 21 years will again come back to Bulgaria
in Bansko '2006! The decision was taken unanimously at the draw in Jeseniky
with a competition from Andorra and Sweden.
